A modern digital tool for recording land property data in Benin
Land property data recording
As part of the collection of cadastral data, ANDF, through the PMAF project, acquired a web platform for the collection, management and consolidation of cadastral data called "InfoCad" in 2020.
For land tenure security data collection in 2017-2018 Benin already disposed of a mobile data collection tool, but this was not in the form of a web platform for data management as is the case for InfoCad.
It is therefore a major technological innovation for the Beninese cadastre. InfoCad was designed by PMAF and produced with the technical support of local developers.
This web-based platform for land property data makes it possible to
- collect, by means of a mobile application running on an Android tablet, information for the registration of all types of rights and their holders attached to parcels according to the attributes in relation to the LADM-Benin profile
- centralise data from several tablets
- aggregate and validate socio-fonciere data
- produce statistics
- edit reports and export property data
- display, sort and filter the data collected
- consolidate social and topographic parcel data
In addition, this secure system also has several management modules:
- administrative information on parcels
- natural and legal persons and groups of individuals who share a parcel of land
- rights held on a parcel
- disputed parcels
- data exchange and synchronisation
- queries, integrity checks and generation of control reports
The data collected from this platform will feed the National Cadastral Information System currently being designed by the PMAF.
